November is diabetes awareness month.
Maribeth (1/2 of bro dude) has had type 1 diabetes for 6 years.
In type 1 diabetes, the body's immune system mistakenly destroys the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.
This means the pancreas can no longer create insulin on its own.
The pancreas plays a vital role in regulating blood sugar, creating insulin and glucagon. T1D’s need insulin injections to survive. This disease has no known cause and no known cure.
We are choosing to donate to an incredible organization this November and would love your help.
